Tommy McFLY is an award-winning broadcaster known for his work as a correspondent & anchor. With nearly 20 years of experience in events, television, content & radio, he has an uncanny ability to tell stories that center on real people and bring broader issues to light. 

After Tommy emceed his own kindergarten graduation, the rest was history. He knew he’d forever champion people and causes on the mic, and he began his broadcast career over a decade later as the youngest person to host a morning radio show in Washington, DC. In the years since, Tommy has also helped raise over $25 million for community organizations as an emcee. Capturing the attention of the Obama Administration, he became the first person in history to emcee the White House Easter Egg Roll. Tommy’s unique blend of approachability & professionalism makes him a joy to work with and watch. From corporate celebrations to galas, auctions, and so much more, he embodies & ignites the spirit of the occasion.

Tommy takes extreme pride in everything he does because he profoundly cares about the people he meets, stories he tells & causes he represents. Whether he’s producing & reporting a segment on screen or emceeing a live event, Tommy not only lights up the room in meaningful, impactful ways but he is also inherently relatable—and fun

His awards include a 2022 Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for his coverage of DC Pride, recognition as a 2021 Washingtonian of the Year, a 2019 Capital Emmy for his coverage of the Nationals’ World Series, and a 2018 EPIC Award for Social Media Content.

Tommy lives in Washington, DC, with his husband, Chrys, and their two beloved dogs, Mr. Troy and COTOC. His deep commitment to community led to serving as chairman of Best Buddies in VA & DC for 12  years. Tommy’s genuine love for DC, the 51st state, shines through in his ready quip about running for governor—ask him about it!
